Introduction |

Clonakilty A.F.C. sponsors soccer activity with the
goal of providing all an opportunity to develop life skills
through team play, sportsmanship, competition, and hard
work. Our mission is to provide Clonakilty and surrounding
areas an opportunity to play soccer commensurate with
their individual ability, potential and interest. To better
achieve that mission, we provide the following codes of
conduct for all Clonakilty A.F.C. players, parents, and
coaches.
These codes reflect the policy of the Football Association
of Ireland, for the conduct throughout the country. They
are intended to provide guidance to all those persons
who lIfe associated-with Clonakilty A.F.C. and in particular
those responsible for directing the activi ties of younger
players in the club. The codes are not an exclusive statement
for the conduct of soccer. They are a statement of ethics,
which should underlie more detailed policies and such
matters as skill acquisition, modified games and the structure
of competitions.
These codes will ensure that people both young and old
develop good sporting behaviours and have an enjoyable
experience of playing soccer, which will encourage them
to remai n involved in any capacity throughout their lives.
